Psychotherapy

All Offerings Are Rooted In and Support the Eight C’s:

I am committed to neurodivergent-affirming, trauma, grief and nervous system- informed care and advocacy. I lead with identity-first language, but respect and honor other preferences or perspectives.

Clients

I enjoy working with curious individuals seeking a non-pathologizing and neuro-affirming space to explore topics related to their neurotype, sensory profile, self awareness, relational health and self-trust. Many of my clients are newly diagnosed, self-identify, or suspect being Autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, PDA, Gifted or divergent learners.

I believe we’re all made up of a multitude of parts. The following are some of the parts my clients have shared and befriended in our time together:

  • Artist | Creative | Maker | Builder
  • Hyper-Curious | Perpetual Student | Why Seeker
  • Cycle-Breaker of Generational/ Relational Trauma Patterns
  • Pleaser | Peacemaker | Masker & Fawner to Survive

Excerpt from Dear Sensitive Soul by Chloë Jade

“You’d rather take bugs outside than

You are weird, in a wonderful sort of way –

see them suffer for simply being small.

The big light is too bright

and the sheets need to be soft.

You consider strangers’ feelings

before your very own.

You hate to be perceived

but long to feel seen.

You stare at the moon

as if you are seeing it

for the very first time.

You want to be quiet

but sometimes need to be loud.

You feel bad for inanimate objects.

You feel a whole ocean for people

who cannot feel a drop for themselves.

In a world of apathy and coldness,

your empathy and warmth are weird.

Weird in the kind of way we need.”

Approach

“Safety is not the absence of threat; it is the presence of connection.” -Stephen Porges

Our work will be rooted in my respect for your lived experiences, neurotype, sensory profiles, identities, skills, and interests.

I approach therapy with a warm, honest, and empowering mindset, steering clear of pathologizing the human experience. I am committed to working alongside clients in a supportive, inclusive, and creative manner.

In additon my approach and services are trauma & grief informed, neurodiversity-affirming, capacity-based, as well as flexible, and adaptable.

If I cannot modify a service or approach, I do not offer it. Additionally, I only offer services that I have researched, experienced, and/or observed to benefit my clients.

I often introduce education on your neurology, nervous system and the benefits of befriending your system with bottom-up approaches .

I enjoy gathering resources (it is a special interest!) on other therapies, communities, support groups, coaching, or interest-based networks. I believe we grow in secure connection with aligned neurokin. Even if we do not consider ourselves “social” or enjoy “people-ing,” we can still benefit from buiding alinged connection.

Our work helps you understand your unique biology, psychology, and coping patterns through engaging and aligned approaches. Understanding how your brain is wired and nervous system is conditioned helps foster neuroplasticity which can result in agency, cycle breaking, self-acceptance, and self-trust.

I view our relationship as a partnership. We’ll build a personalized space that respects and nurtures your needs, interests and growth to ensure our process (and your persoal investment) stays practical and meaningful.

Together, we will build sustainable practices that matter to you, creating an accessible path to a conscious and resourceful life filled with comfort, ease, and joy

“The good news is that no matter how the nervous system has been shaped, the capacity for moving out of protection and returning to connection is built into our biology.” -Deb Dana

Rate & Payment Process (Self-Pay, No Insurance Involvement)

Psychotherapy is a commitment and an investment in yourself that can profoundly transform you and your life. However, this work is not available or a fit for everyone.

I return all inquiries because I know how difficult it is to reach out and how much an informed referral can help in the dense wilderness of quality mental health care.

Payment is due immediately after a session via card through IVY Pay.

IVY Pay is a secure, HIPAA-compliant payment platform designed by therapists to protect client confidentiality. You do not need to download an app to use this feature; just a cell phone with text. You have complete control over payments and can review all payment history through the text message receipt. No credit card information will be stored without permission.

Please check here for rate updates, or reach out if you have further questions about the information below.

A couple of reduced-rate slots are available every season for clients who are unable to pay the full session fee. These are reassessed every three months.

If this does not fit for you, please contact me, and we can see if another service would be a better fit.

A Note About Insurance

As of 2023, I am a self-pay-only provider.

Contacting with insurance companies became not aligned with my practice style or my clients’ goals. This means I do not work with insurance companies or issue “superbills’ for reimbursement. Clients pay after each session and receive an electronic receipt via IVY Pay.

I support clients’ rights to use insurance and respect and understand this choice. I launched Connections Consultation as an alternative to traditional therapy, providing a more accessible way to gain education and support.

I am dedicated to helping clients understand their options, connecting them with suitable resources, while also respecting my professional boundaries.

Please consider exploring Connections Consultation if my psychotherapy services do not suit your needs.

What is a Good Faith Estimate (GFE), and why is it important?

You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) that details your psychotherapy costs. Under the No Surprises Act, providers must give clients paying out of pocket an estimate of their charges. In addition to providing you with a GFE, we will also regularly discuss costs.

For questions or more information about your right to a GFE, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 978-380-3092.

Remote Sessions & Contact

Currently, all psychotherapy sessions are conducted online via video.

To ensure maximum security and confidentiality during electronic communication, I use the following secure platforms:

  • DOXY.me for online video therapy
  • HUSHMAIL for secure email
  • IVY Pay for contactless payments via text

I will share detailed instructions about each platform during your intake.

If this all seems like a good fit, please call me at 978-380-3092 and leave a detailed voicemail as instructed.

You may also send me a secure note from my Contact Page.

I will respond to your inquiry within 48 hrs (M-F). We will set up a time to confirm the fit and schedule, and to review the intake and paperwork process.

I look forward to connecting with you!
